Important note: The Durable team does not validate custom code, so please ensure the code is correct before adding it to the website. We do not provide support for creating customs codes either.

Apply custom codes to the whole site

  1. Access the custom code section from Website > Settings.

  2. Scroll down to the Custom Code section.

  3. Paste the code in either header or footer code, and click "Save" at the bottom when finished.

Custom code:

The code added here will be applied to the whole website.

  • Head Code: This is used mostly for scripts like the Google Search Console Tool (a traffic analyzer and indexing tool), chatbots that will be added throughout the website, AdSense, and style customization.

Generally speaking, you also use the header section for verification purposes (Google Search Console, Google Analytics, etc.).

  • Footer Code: used for "noscripts" of AdSense components.

Apply custom codes to a specific page

The code can be added to a specific page on your site.

  1. Go to Website > Edit website.

  2. Click "Manage pages" at the top bar.

  3. Click the gear icon next to a page title to which you want to add codes. The code added here will be applied only to that page.

This section:

  • Generally, it has the same properties as the general custom code.

  • It can be used to customize the style of a specific component in a page ("I think my titles are too big. Can be changed here")

  • It has the "Force custom code render" button, which can fix strange script/embedded component behaviour.

    • Example of strange behaviour: I added an embed code, but it doesn't show when I open the page, only after a refresh. Please enable "Force custom code render" and see if the issue gets fixed. Please see this page for detailed instructions.
