What is Stripe Connect?

Stripe Connect is a payment gateway that integrates with Durable invoicing. You can accept payments from your customers via credit card or other payment methods available via Stripe Connect. It provides a seamless integration with your Durable dashboard.

Important Note

  • Only the customers in the US are currently eligible for application.

  • You need to be on a business plan or above to enable this gateway.

  • If you previously had a Stripe Connect account with Durable, you will need to go through the verification process again since this is a full relaunch.

  • The verification process is provided by Stripe.

How to enable Stripe Connect

  1. Log into your Durable account and go to "Invoicing."

  2. You will see a banner at the top of the invoicing page.

  3. Click "Verify your identity" at the top right corner.

  4. Follow Stripe's identity verification process prompts.
You will need a US government-issued photo ID, social security number, and your selfie image for verification.

  5. Process the verification according to the Stripe workflow and finish.

Verify your business information

  1. Once the identity verification is finished, you need to verify your business details.

  2. Click the "Tell us about your business" button in the top right corner.

  3. Follow the Stripe verification process. In this step, the system will ask you for the bank account information so you can receive payments and disclose a business structure.

  4. When you finish, you will see the status in the banner.

Stripe connect FAQ

I cannot see the banner in the dashboard. Why is that?

  • Your account must meet the criteria for applying for the banner: your business location must be set to the US, and you must use a business plan or above.

Why do I have to go through the verification process again?

  • Even if you had your Stripe Connect enabled earlier in 2023 via Durable, you are required to go through the verification process again. This is considered a brand-new product; therefore, we need to verify users' information.
