Durable doesn’t provide email services directly, but we make it easy to connect your domain to an external email provider. This allows you to use a custom email address like [email protected], helping your brand appear more professional and trustworthy.
We currently support Gmail (Google Workspace) as a built-in option, and you can also use other providers by adding a few simple records to your domain settings. Don’t worry - it’s easier than it sounds, and we’re here to help if you need it.
To connect Gmail to your Durable domain:
In your Durable dashboard, click Website in the left-hand panel.
At the top of the page, select the Domain tab.
Click the domain you want to use. In most cases, it will be marked Primary in green.
Scroll down to find the Email service provider section.
From the dropdown menu, select Gmail.
You’ll see a field to enter your TXT verification record. This record proves you have access to your domain and is provided by Google when you set up your custom email in Google Workspace.
Paste the TXT record into the field provided.
Click Save domain provider.
Once your domain is verified, Durable will automatically add the necessary MX records to your domain configuration. MX (Mail Exchange) records route your email traffic to the correct email servers and are essential for making sure your mail goes where it should.
📌 For full setup instructions, visit Google’s Email setup in Google Workspace or reach out to Google support for help locating your TXT record.
To use a different email provider:
Select Disable from the dropdown.
Don’t worry - it’s easier than it sounds. You’ll just copy a few records (like TXT, MX, SPF, DKIM, or DMARC) from your email provider and paste them into your Durable domain settings.
Your provider should give you clear guidance, and our team is always here if you need a hand.
