Search engine optimization (SEO) helps people discover your website online. Durable allows you to easily edit your SEO settings, including the title and description that appear in search engine results for your entire site and individual pages. Updating these fields helps search engines understand your content and can improve visibility.

Follow the steps below to edit SEO settings on both your full site and specific pages.

Change the site description

The general SEO configuration can be found on the Home page setup. You can change each page's SEO under the gear icon on each page.

  1. Go to Website > Edit website.

  2. Click "Pages" > Click the three dot icon next to the page you wish to update > Click "Page Settings"

  3. Scroll to the SEO section to change the site description, or you can click "Regenerate" to let AI generate the description.

  4. Click "Save" at the bottom of the settings panel and again on the top bar.

Change the website thumbnail image

The website thumbnail image is shown when the URL is shared on social media. This is also set automatically when you create a website, and you can change it here.

  1. Go to Website > Edit website.

  2. Click "Pages" > Click the three dot icon next to the page you wish to update > Click "Page Settings"

  3. Scroll to the SEO section and click "Replace" to change the image, or you can click "Regenerate" to let AI pick the image.

    • If you click "Replace" in the Media selector, you can choose an image from Getty Images/Unsplash/Library or upload your own image.

If using your own Logo Image for the SEO Meta Image, we recommend making this the following specification:
      Size: 600 x 600 px or 1200 x 1200 px
Aspect Ratio: 1:1 (Square) works best

File Format: PNG (best for transparency & quality)

    • Click "Insert" to add it.

  4. Click "Save" at the bottom of the settings panel and again on the top bar.
