How to Edit Sections on Your Site

Sections are the building blocks of your Durable website, allowing you to customize your site's layout and content to suit your business needs. This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to add, edit, rearrange, duplicate, and delete sections to effectively manage your website's structure.

Adding a Section

  1. Navigate to Website > Edit website.

  2. Hover your cursor where you want to add a new section.

  3. Click Add section +.

  4. Select the desired section type from the list.

  5. The AI will generate the selected section for you.

  6. Click Save in the top bar to apply the changes.

Editing a Section

  1. Go to Website > Edit website.

  2. Locate the section you wish to edit.

  3. Click the ... next to the section and select Edit section.

    • Alternatively, click directly on the part you want to edit; the Settings panel will open on the side.

  4. Use the Settings panel to modify the content. Editable areas are typically indicated by a pencil icon.

  5. Click Save in the top bar to confirm your edits.

Changing the Tone of a Section

  1. Navigate to Website > Edit website.

  2. Click the ... next to the text section you want to modify.

  3. Select a new tone from the available options; the text will regenerate automatically.

  4. If satisfied with the new tone, click Save in the top bar.

Deleting a Section

Note: Deleting a section is irreversible. Once deleted and saved, the section cannot be recovered.

  1. Go to Website > Edit website.

  2. Hover over the section you intend to delete.

  3. Click the ... on the section and select Delete.

  4. Confirm the deletion in the popup by clicking Delete.

  5. Click Save in the top bar to finalize the deletion.

Moving Sections Up or Down

  1. Navigate to Website > Edit website.

  2. Hover over the section you want to move.

  3. Click the upward or downward arrow to reposition the section accordingly.

  4. Click Save in the top bar to apply the changes.

Duplicating a Section

  1. Go to Website > Edit website.

  2. Hover over the section you wish to duplicate.

  3. Click the Duplicate button.

  4. Click Save in the top bar to confirm the duplication.

Sections FAQ

Can I recover a section after deleting it?
No. Once a section is deleted and the changes are saved, it cannot be recovered.

How many sections can I add per page?
You can add up to 20 sections per page, regardless of your plan. This limit ensures optimized page speed and prevents excessively long pages.

Can I hide sections from the live website?
Currently, there is no option to hide sections from the live website.

I cannot close the Help Centre popup. How can I resolve this?
You can move the "Edit section" bar to the left or right as needed. Hover over the section and click the "Move to left/right" button.
