What is the Favicon of a Website?
The Favicon is the little icon in a browser tab or search results next to the URL. Having a Favicon for your website takes your branding to the next level and helps users recognize your site quickly.
Update/Add Your Favicon
Go to Website > Edit website.
Click the "Customize "button (the Paintbrush icon) and click "Other styles" at the top bar.
On the right hand side of the page, in the toolbox window, hover to the 'Browser icon' section and click "Add Icon" or "Change."
You can upload your own icon image, or choose icons provided by Noun Project.
Click "Insert", then click "Save" on the top bar.
Important note:
Google takes some time to update your website's favicon in search results. To make the process smoother, you can request that Google index your website.
Also, the Favicon specification is best to follow the following:
The favicon must be a PNG or ICO image up to 1MB.
The favicon must be at least 48x48px in size.
The favicon must not be inappropriate or offensive
