Create and Send Invoices to Customers

Learn how to create and send professional invoices to customers directly from your Durable dashboard.

Creating and sending invoices from your Durable dashboard is a simple and efficient way to manage payments for your business. This feature helps you keep all your billing information in one place and ensures that customers receive clear, professional invoices.

Follow the steps below to create and send your first invoice:

  1. Open the Durable dashboard and click Invoices in the left-hand menu.

  2. Click Create Invoice.

  3. Enter your business details including your name, address, and contact information.

  4. Add your customer’s details, such as their name, email address, and business information.

  5. Fill in the invoice information:

    • Invoice number: Automatically generated, but you can edit it if needed.

    • Invoice date and due date: Use the calendar tool to select the dates.

    • Currency: Choose the correct currency from the dropdown.

  6. Under Items, click + Add Item to include the products or services you’re billing for.

    • Provide a description, quantity, rate, and the tool will calculate the total automatically.

    • Add multiple items if necessary.

  7. (Optional) Add tax or discount by clicking the respective buttons below the item list.

  8. Review the subtotal, tax, discount, and total at the bottom of the invoice.

  9. (Optional) Use the Notes field to include any extra information for your customer.

  10. Once everything looks good, click Send Invoice in the top right corner.

  11. In the pop-up window, confirm the recipient's email address and add a message if needed, then click Send.

Your customer will receive a professional invoice via email with the option to pay directly if you’ve shared a payment link from a provider.

If you need to download or print the invoice, return to the Invoices tab, find the invoice you created, click the three-dot menu, and select Download or Print.

You can also save a draft to finish later, click Save Draft instead of sending.
